Fr. Richard Patrick Davis
Accused in a 4/2023 lawsuit of fondling an altar boy, age 10, twice in 1981. Davis was pastor at the time of St. James in Searcy and St. Albert in Heber Springs. The abuse allegedly occurred during a week-long altar boy training program at St. James, during which the accuser and another boy were staying with Davis. Davis died in 5/2020.

Diocese: Diocese of Little Rock AR
Seminarian for the Diocese of Little Rock beginning in 2008 at St. Joseph Seminary College near Covington, LA. Left seminary, became a teacher at Cabot High School in Cabot, AR. Removed from the school after complaints of inappropriate communication/grooming with a female student. Returned to LA, taught at a public high school in Maurice, despite his record. Hired in 6/2022 by St. Thomas More Catholic High School in Lafayette LA. Removed after a video surfaced of a shirtless De La Paz requesting a pornographic video from a 17-year-old girl he had taught in Maurice. Arrested 4/27/2023. Homeland Security found another video De La Paz had sent to the girl, of himself masturbating. Indicted 5/17/2023. Convicted by a jury 5/22/2024. Sentenced in 9/2024 to 7 years in prison then 5 years of supervised release.
