Fr. Peter J. Dunne

Accused of abuse of three teenage boys and one boy of unknown age. The archdiocese learned of abuse in 1986. Sent for treatment then reassigned. Reportedly paid one victim $40K for his silence. Retired in 1995. In 2004 he was placed on permanently restricted ministry with no faculties. Accepted a supervised life of Prayer and Penance. Died 4/17/10. A civil was suit filed in Iowa in 2008. Named as diagnosed pedophile on secret 2/94 memo from Msgr. Lynn to Asst. Vicar for Admin released 2/27/12.
