Fr. Robert B. Cullen
Accused on 3/1/2007 in testimony before the Maryland legislature of sexually abusing a grade-school girl, between ages 8 and 14, and others in the 1960s. The girl’s mother allegedly reported the abuse repeatedly to a Jesuit in the late 1960s and to another sometime after 1982. No action. Cullen remained in ministry. The victim reported her abuse in 2005, and the Jesuits made the mandated report. Cullen died 2/5/2005. He had worked in many dioceses. Name included Jesuits Maryland Province list 12/17/2019, which notes allegations of abuse late 1960s-1980s in Maryland. Added to Baltimore archdiocese’s list in 2/2019. On the Charlotte diocese’s list 12/29/2019. Included in the 4/5/2023 MD Attorney General’s Report.
