Fr. Carl H. Meinberg

Monsignor. A civil suit filed in 5/22/2006 claimed abuse of a boy at St. Mary’s Parish in Iowa City in the 1940s. Meinberg was assigned to the parish 1940-1967. He was also a diocesan consultor 1948-1967 and Iowa City dean 1960-1967. He died in 1975. Included on the diocese’s 7/2008 list of credibly accused, which notes allegations of abuse of four male minors.
