Fr. Alphonsus Bouwmeister
Ordained in Belgium. Arrived in Hawaii in 1915. Accused in a 2002 civil suit of abuse of an 11-year-old boy in 1961. In 3/2005 the case was dismissed by a judge, who said plaintiff had presented no evidence to support his claim. Bouwmeister died in 1972 at age 84.
Fr. Joseph Bukoski, III
Placed on leave in 5/2002 after allegations of sexually abusing a boy in the 1970s while a Sacred Heart brother, prior to ordination. A second accuser also came forward. Two civil suits were filed in 2003. At least one suit claimed the Order knew of the abuse yet allowed Bukoski to be ordained. This suit settled in 11/2005 after Bukoski admitted to the abuse. (Immediately after settlement, criminal charges were filed against this plaintiff on behalf of a woman who said she was sexually assaulted by him at age 14, 9 years prior. He was acquitted in 1/2007.)

Fr. Edward J. Casey
Accused of abusing three minors 1974-1979, while assigned to Damien Boys High School in LaVerne. In 2004 the Archdiocese of Los Angeles counted three accusers. Named in at least one civil suit. Laicized, per the Archdiocese's list in 12/2021.
Fr. Roger J. Doherty
Named publicly as accused by the Los Angeles archdiocese on its list updated 12/6/2018. It notes a report received in 2014 of an incident in 1962. Doherty died in 1970.
Fr. George Foley
Ordained in Ireland. Accused in 2002 of abuse of a girl 1971-1974 while he was sexually involved with her mother. The Archdiocese knew in 1974 of allegations against Foley of involvement with women. He left the Order and Archdiocese in 1974. Named in a civil suit in 2003.
Fr. Rene Gaudin
Entered order in 1949. Worked in Japan, the Bahamas and Texas. Retired in 1993. Died 6/27/01. Included on a list of accused priests and religious posted by the Law Offices of Mitchell Garabedian on 01/19/11. At least one claim with Boston archdiocese involving allegations against Gaudin. On the Fall River diocese's list in 1/21 of credibly accused.
Fr. Evarist Gielen
From Belgium. Arrived in HI as a missionary in 1926. Per Attorney Jeff Anderson, Gielen was accused in a 2016 lawsuit of sexually abusing a minor in the early 1960s, while assigned to Sacred Hearts in Lanai City. Gielen died at age 80 in 1977.
Br. Edward Anthony Holmes
Residential counselor at Nazareth Child Care Center in Jamaica Plain run by the archdiocese. Left order in 2002. Arrested in 2005 for abuse and photographing of 2 boys at the home in the 1970s and '80s. "Housemates" found photos in 1989. Both made complaints in 2003. Sentenced in 12/06 to 5 years 1 day in prison. Pled guilty in 2008 to raping
a third boy; 2 more years on sentence. At least 4 claims included in 2003 global settlement with the archdiocese. One pending as of 5/10. Omitted from 2011 Boston AD database. Reportedly died in 2011. Lawsuit filed in 7/17 by a man claiming abuse by Holmes as a boy, ages 8-11, in the 1970s at Nazareth and on camping trips in NH. Plaintiff said he told his mom, who told a nun in charge of his cottage at Nazareth, and that the nun's response was to punish him.
Seminarian Eugene H. Hubert
Accused publicly in 5/2019 of sexually abusing at least five boys when a Fathers of the Sacred Hearts seminarian and St. Mary's College student in Winona, MN 1968-1971. Claims were filed by three brothers against the Winona-Rochester diocese. Left MN, went on to work as a janitor for 30 years in Catholic and public schools in Albany, NY. Worked at summer camps in at least three states, drove school buses, volunteered for youth organizations. Accusations public in 12/2018 of the rape of at least two boys in the late 1970s when janitor at St. Teresa of Avila school in Albany. Died in 1997. Lawsuit filed in 8/2019 with Albany claims.
Fr. Timothy Keane
Named publicly as accused by the Columbus diocese on its list 3/1/2019. Assigned in MA, CA and OH. Left the priesthood and married. Died in FL at age 90 in 2011.
Fr. James R. Nickel
Worked in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles CA, the Winona MN and Fall River MA Dioceses and the Diocese of Nassau, Bahamas. Went on to Damien Ministries in Washington DC. Died 1/20/2008. Included in 10/2014 on the St. Paul and Minneapolis Archdiocese's list of accused and on the Diocese of Winona-Rochester's list. In 4/2012 attorney Mitchell Garabedian announced the settlement of at least one claim regarding Nickel. Two more lawsuits were filed 12/31/2014, alleging the sexual abuse of boys in the Fall River Diocese, one in the 1970s, the other in the 1980s. The Diocese settled for $880K in 4/2017 with eight men claiming abuse as boys by Nickel. The abuse was said to have occurred on Cape Cod, and on trips to the Bahamas, IL, NY, Washington DC, RI and NH. Included in 1/2021 on the Fall River Diocese's list of credibly accused.

Fr. Martin O’Loghlen
From Ireland, where he was ordained. Accused of the sexual abuse of a minor 1965-1968, per the 2004 Los Angeles Archdiocesan Report. Active in Myanmar and the Philippines in 2004. Kept in ministry until his removal in 2011 from Holy Name of Mary in San Dimas, where he had been assigned for two years. The Archdiocese admitted it "did not fully consult records" that showed he had admitted to a sexual 'relationship' with a high school girl in the 1960s. The vicar of clergy in charge of checking records resigned. His victim settled the civil suit with the order and O'Loghlen in 1999 for $100K. Said in 10/2024 by a parishioner to have been actively involved for the past decade at Holy Name of Mary; pictured there in a 1/2020 photo on the parish's facebook page.

Br. Dominic Stone
Given name William Henry Stone. A man alleged in a lawsuit filed in 7/2003 that Stone molested him for over a year in the 1970s. The man also alleged in the suit that he was propositioned by Fr. Joseph Bukoski. Stone died 4/18/2006.
Fr. Luke Zimmer
Worked in NH, MA, HI, MN, CA and WI. Given permission to operate a Christian Renewal center in WI. As such, he participated as a priest at various churches. Plaintiff in a 1993 suit alleged that Zimmer abused her 1979-80 at one of these churches in WI. Zimmer was still active in 1993 as an instructor for Catholic Seminars. Died in 1/97.
