Ordained for Diocese of Alexandria LA. Also worked in AZ and CA. Was in treatment at the Paraclete center and working in Gallup NM. There were allegations against him in Flagstaff in 1963 and a civil suit in Fresno. Died in 1987. A CA civil suit filed in 7/2011 claimed abuse in 1966. It may have been dismissed due to a 2012 CA Supreme Court ruling. Accused of abuse in Gallup, deemed credible in 2005. Suit filed in AZ in 6/2013 against the Gallup Diocese. On the Gallup diocese's list 4/28/2017. On the Monterey diocese's list 1/2/2019. It notes a report in 2003 of abuse there 1964, 1966 and 1969. On the Diocese of Alexandria's list 2/6/2019; allegation found in file in 2019 of abuse of a boy in 1961, deemed credible. Suit in 7/2020 alleged abuse by Allison and a male college student named Henry of a young altar boy in a Monroe LA parish in the 1970s. The college student lived in the rectory. All 9 judges in the Second Circuit recused themselves from the lawsuit in 12/2020. Case reassigned to the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. Included in 8/2021 on the Fresno diocese's list of credibly accused.

Accused in 1998 of fondling a boy. Suspended. Sent to treatment. Returned to ministry. Accused of sexual contact with 16-year-old boy at the home of boy's family in 4/2001. Pleaded innocent in 5/2002. Pleaded guilty in a plea bargain in 5/2003 to a charge of sexual battery. Sentenced to five years in prison with all but two years suspended. Suit filed in 1/2003; settled in 2012. Laicized in 2007. Registered sex offender as of 6/2010. Died 12/31/2013. On the diocese's list 2/6/2019.

Named publicly as accused by the diocese when added to its list 7/6/2020 (first name misspelled Gielse.) It notes that a report was received 2/6/2019 that Boyer sexually abused a boy in the mid-1970s. The Review Board deemed the allegation credible. Boyer died 5/29/1988.

Name also spelled Couvillion. Publicly named as accused by the diocese on its list 2/6/2019. After a review of Couvillon's file in 2019, the Review Board deemed credible allegations of sexual abuse of male minors dating back to the 1950s. A 5/1951 news article shows that he was newly assigned to Our Lady of Guadalupe in Flagstaff AZ, Diocese of Gallup. He apparently was there just a short time, returning by late 1951 to Louisiana. Another news article shows a leave of absence in 8/1955. Couvillon died in 1978.

Also known as Irenee Charles De Keukelaere or DeKeukelaere. From Belgium. Pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes in the Avoyelles Parish community of Fifth Ward 1955-1982. Removed in 1982, pleaded guilty to indecent behavior with a 14-year-old boy in the church rectory. Placed on probation and fined $1,000. Transferred to the East Coast. The Official Catholic Directories show Dekeukelaere at Church of the Nativity in Arlington VA in 1983, St. Charles Borromeo in Philadelphia in 1984-1987, no listing for 1987-1988, then at the order's retreat center, Missionhurst, in Arlington VA 1988-1992. He died 3/3/1992. Named publicly as accused by the Alexandria diocese on its list 2/6/2019 (last name spelled Dekeukelare).

Fr. Francis Patrick Donohoe

Ordained for the Capuchin order in Washington DC in 1933, as Rev. Francis de Sales Donohue. By 1938 was assigned as chaplain at St. Joseph's Home in Pineville, LA and missions at Deville and Rochelle. After a subsequent parish assignment in Monroe, he spent four years as a Navy chaplain. He returned to the Diocese of Alexandria where he was incardinated in 1942. He was removed from active ministry in 1966 and died in 1983. Named publicly as accused by the diocese on its list 2/6/2019. A review by the diocese of Donohoe's file in 2019 showed credible evidence of multiple allegations of sexual abuse of male minors dating from the 1960s.

Died in 1977. Named publicly as accused by the diocese on its list 2/6/2019. Allegation deemed credible by the Review Board in 2004, of the sexual abuse of a male minor in 1954. Settlement with the victim in 2005.

Named publicly as accused by the Alexandria Diocese on its list 2/6/2019. Assigned to a Marksville parish for two months in 1974. Transferred to Houston, TX. Removed from public ministry in 1986. Died in 1990. The Diocese reviewed Gagne's file in 2019 and found multiple credible allegations of sexual abuse of male minors in the 1980s. Accused in a civil lawsuit filed 6/11/2024 of sexually abusing an altar boy 1971-1972, while assigned to St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Alexandria. Per the suit, the abuse occurred in several Alexandria locations and on a trip to Monterey, Mexico "to deliver clothes to the needy."

The Alexandria diocese reviewed Hannon's file in 2019 and found evidence of multiple credible allegations of the sexual abuse of male minors dating from the 1960s.

Deacon. Named publicly as accused by the diocese on its list 2/6/2019. Suspended in 1986 after an allegation that he sexually abused a male minor in 1982. Scheduled ordination cancelled and he was encouraged to seek laicization. Allegation deemed credible by the the Permanent Review Board in 2019. Accused in a 2024 lawsuit of sexually abusing a boy, who attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish School 1966-1976. The plaintiff also claims sexual abuse by Revs. Joseph Guidry and Alvin Dixon at the parish and school.

Named publicly as credibly accused by the diocese in 9/2019 after it received an allegation of sexual abuse of male minors, dating to the mid-1960s. The diocese's review board deemed the allegations credible. Lelieveld was murdered 10/21/1976 at age 50.

Ordered by the Vatican to live a life of prayer and penance, per a 11/2013 announcement. Title "Msgr." removed. Included on the diocese's list 2/6/2019. Lyons died 3/13/2019.

Ordained for the Diocese of Austin where he worked 1959-1961. After a leave of absence he was incardinated in 1968 into the Salina, KS diocese. Accused in a 2/1/2005 lawsuit of sexually abusing a 14-year-old boy, along with Rev. Leger Tremblay, in 1955 in the Alexandria diocese. McCarthy was then a student at Assumption Seminary in San Antonio, TX. The alleged abuse was said to have included rape and oral battery. McCarthy knew the boy from Camp Maryhill near Pineville, LA. The case was dismissed 7/31/2006 due to the statute of limitations. McCarthy was criminally tried in TX in 2007; found not guilty. He died 11/27/2017.

From Puerto Rico. Removed from his assignment at St. Mary's Assumption in Cottonport and St. Joseph's in Marksville 3/12/2013 after he was accused of misconduct with a minor. The sheriff's office was conducting an investigation. Found dead in hotel room 6/7/2013; foul play not suspected.

From Holland. Arrived in the U.S. in 1947, assigned to a parish in Moreauville. Pastor of St. Martin of Tours in Belledeau 1950 until his retirement in 1989. Choir director, Boy Scouts leader. Named publicly as credibly accused by the diocese on its list in 6/2019. Allegations against Molenschot of sexual misconduct and abuse of male minors date back to the 1960s. Died 12/7/1994.

Monsignor. Accused in a lawsuit filed in 2/2022 of sexually abusing a boy, beginning when the boy was age 6 or 7, between 1966 and 1968. O'Hanlon was assigned to St. Theresa's in Shreveport during the time of the alleged abuse. He died in 2001.

Flew parishioners in a private plane, including teenagers. Left the diocese and active ministry in 1967. Became a PhD psychologist. Opened a psychology practice in West Virginia in 1975. Died 1/24/2008. In 2019 the diocese reviewed Sepsi's file, which showed evidence of multiple allegations of abuse of male minors dating to the 1960s. The Review Board deemed the allegations credible.

Monsignor. Former chancellor and superintendent of schools. Found murdered in a hotel room in Missouri in 1969; had invited two men to have lunch with him in the room. Was on leave since 3/1967 from the Diocese of Alexandria, studying at St. Louis University and teaching at a high school and at a convent. Named publicly as accused by the Diocese on its list 2/6/2019. Allegations to the Review Board in 2009 of abuse of male minors in the 1960s. Review of the file in 2019 by the Diocese showed further evidence of the abuse of male minors. Deemed credible.

Named publicly as accused by the Diocese of Alexandria on its list 2/6/2019. Allegation to the Review Board in 2014 of abuse of a male minor in 1967. Tisch left active ministry in the Roman Catholic Church in 1968. He moved to Melbourne, FL where he joined the Liberal Catholic Church and had a career as a social worker. In 1986 Tisch was elected bishop of the Liberal Catholic Church for the Eastern United States. He died in 2007 "publicly separated from the [Roman Catholic] Church." A review of his file in 2019 showed more evidence of the sexual abuse of male minors; deemed credible by the Review Board.

Fr. J.C. Leger Tremblay

Accused in a 2/1/2005 lawsuit of abusing 14-year-old boy, along with seminarian Donald P. McCarthy, in 1955. The abuse allegedly included rape and oral battery, and the boy was silenced by threats. Per the complaint, the Diocese was contacted in 1990; Bishop Friend confirmed in 2004 that Tremblay was a pedophile who abused 'numerous youths.' The Diocese stated that Tremblay was removed in 1987 for 'attempted, unwanted physical advance toward a minor.' Trained in Quebec and New Orleans. Died 1/13/2002. Included on the Diocese's list 2/6/2019. Settlements in 2004 and 2005.

Allegation to the Review Board in 2006 of the sexual abuse of a male minor in 1967. A 2019 review of Van Hoorn's file showed evidence of another credible allegation of the abuse of a male minor. Accused in a lawsuit filed in 8/2020 of abusing a first- or second-grade boy at Sacred Heart of Jesus in Pineville, in 1962-1963. The suit claims Van Hoorn "raped and sexually assaulted many young boys."

Moved to the Diocese of St. Petersburg FL where he was a hospital chaplain 1987-1988, and parochial vicar of St. Michael the Archangel Parish in Clearwater 1990-1998. Retired in 1998. Named publicly as credibly accused by the diocese on its list in 6/2019. Allegedly sexually abused a female minor in the early 1960s. Reportedly living in a nursing home in 6/2019, age 91, with advanced dementia. Died in FL 2/27/2020.
