Fr. Arthur L. Wood
Died in 1983 at age 59. After his death the Archdiocese received an allegation that Wood had sexually abused a boy. The Archdiocese paid Wood’s accuser $10,500 in 1995 and provided counseling in exchange for the man’s promise of confidentiality. Accused in at least 39 lawsuits filed in 2002 and 2003. Many claims were included in a massive 6/2003 settlement.
