Placed on leave in 1972 after choosing to remove himself from parish life in 1970 and to teach in a public school in Haverhill, MA. Allegations by a former altar boy received in 1996. This accuser filed suit in 6/1998, claiming abuse by White 1964-1971 at Sacred Heart in Bradford, MA. The suit later settled. White was still teaching after information was released in 1/2002 but lost his job as religious education teacher at a local parish. “Voluntary” laicization announced 6/10/2005. The Boston archdiocese’s list in 8/2011 notes that the case concluded canonically.
