Fr. Chester John Warren
“Chet.” Accused of abusing more than 10 girls, in what Bishop Blair in 2005 called “grievously sinful and criminal acts.” Ritual abuse alleged. Settlements exceed $1.2M. Expelled from order in 1993. Barred from a parish and school by court order in 8/2006 after families complained that he was showing up at all hours, sometimes in clerical garb, despite an agreement to attend at only certain hours. Laicized in 2007. Included on the Detroit archdiocese’s list of credibly accused 6/10/2019, where he worked 1974-1978. Included on the Toledo diocese’s list. Reportedly died in 2021.
