Fr. Francis P. Wagner
Named publicly as accused in the 4/5/2023 MD Attorney General’s Report. Report in 1995 to the Archdiocese that Wagner sexually abused a girl, age 11 or 12, in the late 1960s. The girl was a student at St. Joan of Arc Parish School in Aberdeen, where Wagner was pastor. The abuse allegedly occurred when the girl slept in the rectory on the night before a field trip. Wagner’s accuser said he threatened her with eternal damnation if she told. She received a $37, 500 settlement in 2017. Wagner died in 1983.
