Fr. Barry Vinyard
A man filed suit in 2003 alleging that he was abused as a boy by Vinyard 1978-79 at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Calexico. Vinyard denied the allegations. Vinyard was referred to as the first actively serving priest in the diocese to be named in a lawsuit. Bishop accepted Vinyard’s request for retirement status effective 1/1/04. San Diego personnel file released 10/25/10. Included on the diocese’s list of credibly accused.
