Fr. Jose I. Ugarte
From Spain. Ordained for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Allegations were revealed publicly for the first time in personnel files released by Archdiocese 1/31/2013. In the early 1990s a doctor reported to the Archdiocese that Ugarte drugged and raped a boy in Ensenada. The priest went on inactive leave with no ministry as of 11/1/1993. He was also accused of sexually abusing a 17-year old in 1983. Sexually involved with three other young men. Ordered to return to Spain and to not return to Los Angeles without permission for 7 years, not to celebrate Mass in public and to find a secular job.
