Fr. Ernest E. Tourigney

Parish priest in Weymouth, Holliston, Cambridge and Revere. Chaplain at Matignon High School in Cambridge in the late 1970s-early 1980s. Allegations that Tourigney sexually abused young boys span the length of his career as a priest. The first known complaint of the sexual abuse of a minor was in 1974; the same victim came forward again in 1988. Tourigney admitted to the “relationship.” He went on sick leave in 1992. Two lawsuits settled in 1995. Given retirement status in 2000. Tourigney was also accused of sexually abusing minors in NH. Laicization announced in 3/2006. Last known to be living in Bourne, MA
