Fr. Santiago L. Tamayo
Ordained in the Philippines. Began work in the L.A. archdiocese in 1968; incardinated in 1978. Accused along with six other priests in a 1984 civil suit of the sexual abuse of a girl in 1984. The girl gave birth to a daughter in 1982. Tamayo fled to the Philippines, where he died in 1996 or 1999. Per the 2004 Los Angeles Archdiocesan Report, Tamayo was accused of abuse of a minor 1978-1984. Claims against all 7 priests settled for $500K in $660M settlement in Fall, 2007. His personnel file, released in 1/2013, shows he was also alleged to have abused a boy.
