Fr. Jonathan L. Stewart
A woman filed suit in 3/2004 on behalf of her 17-year- old son. Stewart allegedly molested the boy at ages 7-13 during 1993-1999. His ministry was restricted after the allegations were received in 2/2001, and he was removed from ministry in 2003. The Archdiocese denied it knew abuse the continued through 1999. The plaintiff’s attorney said social workers at Family Social Services found evidence of the abuse. A jury awarded $155K in damages 4/25/2008. Stewart’s name was included on the Archdiocese’s list of credibly accused 10/12/2018.
