Fr. Dennis R. Sewar

Sewar took a sabbatical in 01/05. Placed on leave 6/05, arrested 7/05. Charged with abuse of a 14-year-old boy 1999-2001. Trial set for 8/06. Allowed to plead guilty to lesser charge of attempted endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor. Sentenced to one year probation. In 9/08 he was teaching in a Hong Kong school until a parent discovered his record on BishopAccountability.org. Involuntarily dismissed from the clerical state, per diocese 6/7/12.
