Fr. Theodore L. Richlin
In 10/20 the archdiocese announced that it investigated recent claims against Richling of the sexual abuse of minors, and deemed the allegations substantiated. Richling retired in 1997 and continued involvement in ministry until at least 2006. Died 12/23/19. Per the NE Attorney General in 11/21, Chancellor Rev. Michael Gutsgell knew in 1980 of allegations against Richling, and did nothing. Included in 10/21 on the Omaha archdiocese’s list. Abuse noted to have occurred 1978-81 and 1990-92. Multiple allegations of abuse of boys.
