Fr. Robert J. Reiss
Accused of abuse of boys in the 1970s. Laicized in 9/1997. Murdered in Chilpancingo, Guerrero, Mexico 2/3/2005. Abuse became public after Reiss’ death. Claims were including in the 2/2006 settlement by the diocese. At least one claim included in $4.7M 3/2008 settlement with the Archdiocese involving abuse by 9 priests. At least one more claim included in an 8/2013 $5.2M out-of-court settlement involving 10 priests and 26 victims.
