Ordained for the Santa Rosa diocese. Transferred 5/30/1970 to the Diocese of San Diego. Suspended in 1996 after a hospitalized 16-year-old boy (ventilator dependent) managed to let hospital workers know he had been fondled by a priest. The Hospital reported to CPS, Diocese and police. No criminal charges pursued. In 1997 Polizzi was “permanently impeded from priestly ministry” per a Diocese statement. Polizzi denied all accusations. He died in 2003 in Haiti. His name is included on the San Diego Diocese’s 3/2007 list of priests with credible allegations. On Santa Rosa diocese’s list 1/12/2019.
