Fr. Philip A. Petit
A civil suit was filed in 2002 alleging abuse of a boy 1979-1981. Bishop Gendron apparently destroyed records in the 1980s that detailed sexual abuse by Petit and another priest. Gendron wrote a letter in 1986 to Petit assuring him that he would destroy all documents referring to his treatment, but would keep one 1982 letter. Laicization announced 8/28/2018.
