Fr. Donald Matthew Osgood
Accused of the sexual abuse of teenage boys in at least four lawsuits in 2002. Two plaintiffs were among 16 in civil suits against the Diocese which settled in 2002. Allegations against Osgood began to surface within months of his ordination. Transferred several times because of his behavior. Sent for treatment to NM. Left active ministry in 1968. Last listed in the 1975 Official Catholic Directory. Included in the NH Attorney General’s investigation, with numerous documents from his personnel file in 2003 and 2009. Included on the Santa Fe archdiocese’s 9/12/2017 list of accused; assigned to a parish in Albuquerque in 1963. Laicized, per the Manchester diocese’s list 7/31/2019. Died 3/19/2018 in Georgia, age 90.
