Allegations in 1993 and 1997, per archdiocesan records. Removed in 2002. Visiting priest in Charleston SC when arrested in 2003 for abuse in 1979-1980. Criminal trial in 4/2006. Allegations in both Boston and Charleston. Pleaded guilty just prior to start of criminal trial 4/25/2006. A 30-year sentence was changed to 5 years probation. Civil suit in Charleston settled at mediation in 8/2006. Involuntary laicization announced by the Boston Archdiocese in 3/2007. Included on the Boston archdiocese’s list in 8/2011. On the Charleston diocese’s list 3/29/2019. Accused in a lawsuit filed in 2/2022 of sexually abusing a girl, age 11, while assigned to St. Brendan’s in Dorchester MA in 1980.
