Fr. Robert Daniel Nikliborc
Accused in a 12/03 lawsuit of abuse 1963-65. Sued in 2005, accused of abuse of an 11-year-old boy at Boys Town of the Desert. Spent time at Paraclete’s center in Jemez Springs NM in 1956. While running Boys Town of the Desert, where he was assigned 1957-69, he owned homes in Las Vegas and Palm Springs, living a lavish lifestyle and going by the name Robert Drew Rand. Convicted of tax evasion in 1968 and spent 97 days in jail. Reassigned in 1971 to St. Anne’s in San Diego, the diocese’s poorest parish; there until he retired in 2001. Died 3/19/06. Personnel file released 10/24/10. Included on the San Diego diocese’s list of credibly accused.
