Fr. Ephren Cirilio Neri

From the Yucatan archdiocese in Mexico. Name also spelled Ephrem. In 11/2019 a woman filed a lawsuit claiming rape at age 7 in 1958 by Neri while he was assigned to Christ the King parish in San Bernardino. He was also accused in 1958 of fathering a child, which he denied. Per the 1959 Official Catholic Directory, which reflects 1958-1959, Neri was on sick leave. The 1960 Directory shows him as at a Servants of the Paraclete retreat house in Canton, OH, followed by assignments in Fresno, CA. He was incardinated into the Fresno diocese in 1965. He was again on sick leave 1976-1982 and died 5/30/1982.
