Fr. J. Michael Morrissey
Ordained for the Capuchins’ New York Province. Assigned in 1980 to the Archdiocese of Agana, Guam. Transferred around 1989 to the Archdiocese of Portland, OR, where he was incardinated in 1992 and retired in 2017. Accused in a 1/22 lawsuit of sexually abusing an altar boy, beginning when the boy was 13, over several years in the early 1980s at Santa Teresita in Mangilao, Guam. The abuse allegedly occurred during sleepovers in the parish rectory and included physical assaults and plying the boy with alcohol. The plaintiff also alleged abuse by Fr. Andrew Mannetta, later at the same parish.
