Fr. Paul J. Moriarty
A 9/2002 suit by 27 plaintiffs alleged that the the Boston archdiocese covered up abuse by 12 priests over a period of 50 years. Moriarty is named as a perpetrator in this suit. Personnel file released in 12/2002 contained a single anonymous allegation from 1992 claiming he sexually abused a child at St. Mary of the Hills in Milton in the 1950s. Moriarty died in 1982 after 10 assignments during a 34 year career. Criminal or canonical proceedings not complete when he died, per the 8/2011 Boston archdiocese list.
