Fr. Chester A. Misercola
A man filed suit in 8/02 alleging that Misercola had sexually abused him over a five-year period, beginning when he was age 14. He said Misercola showed him pornographic movies, videotaped and photographed him in the nude, got him drunk and performed oral sex on him. He complained to the diocese in 1997; Misercola “retired” from ministry in 1998. Permanently removed from active ministry in 6/03. On diocese’s list 12/3/18. Died 7/6/19. Sued by three in 6/20, alleging abuse while he was at Bishop Cunningham High School in Oswego 1970-92.
