Fr. Elden Joseph Miller

Retired in 7/2003. Removed from public ministry 12/18/2006. Died in 7/26/2008. Name released in 8/2018 by Bishop Rhoades as accused. In 2015 a 60-year-old woman told the Diocese that Miller sexually abused her over a 5-year period in the 1960s, beginning when she was age 6. Her grandmother was a housekeeper in the the St. Joseph rectory in Mishawaka. Per the Diocese, there are credible allegations against Miller from three other people. Included on the Diocese’s 9/18/2018 list, which notes two credible allegations. The Diocese’s updated list in 9/2021 shows four credible allegations.
