Fr. John H. McMahon
Named publicly as accused in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report. Included on the diocese’s list of accused. In 2004 a woman reported to the diocese that between 1969-1976, when she was ages 7-15, McMahon and another priest molested her. She was a student at Resurrection Parish school, where McMahon was pastor. She said the abuse occurred in the rectory, where the two priests lived, and that sometimes other children were there and were encouraged by McMahon to touch each other. The woman said she also remembered seeing photos of naked boys and girls on McMahon’s desk. He died in 1993.
