Fr. Finian McDonald
Teacher at St. John’s University and dean of men/vice president for student affairs 1964-67. Listed in a 2002 lawsuit as one of eight accused abbey clergy members. Apparently abused a college student at least three times in 1975. Confessed in 2012 to molesting over 200 boys; 18 were dorm students at St. John’s Prep. Supposedly was living as a “restricted” priest but he traveled frequently to the Bahamas until 2002. Named in new suit in 12/09. Name on list of monks likely to have offended against minors as released by Abbey 12/9/13. Died in 2/17.
