Fr. Joseph C. McComiskey
Pastor of St. Edward the Confessor, Syosset, when forced to retire in 2002 due to an allegation was made to the diocese’s sex abuse hotline. Lawsuit filed in 8/19 claimed abuse by McComiskey of a 16-year-old in 1976 at St. James and Phillip in St. James, and during a camping trip. Included on the diocese’s list in 3/21, noting abuse allegedly occurring at St. Joseph’s in Babylon, where he was assigned 6/70-9/75, at a private home on Long Island and at a hotel in Zurich, Switzerland.
