Fr. Paul Francis Manning
Criminally charged in 1993 with the recent sexual abuse of an 11-year-old altar boy. Another priest reported witnessing Manning touching the boy’s genitals in the St. Charles rectory in Woburn. Acquitted by a jury in 1994. After acquittal, was not allowed to act as a priest and all faculties were removed in 1996. In 2002, man and woman came forward to say he had abused them as minors. Included on the archdiocese’s list in 8/2011. Remained on administrative leave as of 10/2015, canonical proceedings still in process. Died 2/26/2020, canonical case not completed.
