Fr. Paul J. Mahan
A 2000 lawsuit claimed Mahan abused two of his nephews in 1994-1995 Another was filed in 1999. As of late 2002, at least 12 lawsuits had been filed against Mahan. More in 1/2003. The archdiocese was warned in 1994 and 1995. Mahan was referred to as “dangerous” and “a threat to adolescent males.” Sent for treatment twice. Privileges removed in 1996. Involuntarily laicized in 2/1998. Name included on the archdiocese’s list in 8/2011.
