Fr. George B. Loskarn
Accused in 2002 of sexual abuse in the late 1960s of a boy, ages 12-16. Admitted the abuse, and to fondling an 18-year-old male in about 1985. Placed on leave. Name included on the Baltimore archdiocese’s 9/2002 list of accused. In 7/2013 the Archdiocese received a report that Loskarn sexually abused a 1st to 3rd grade altar boy in the early 1970s at St. Bernard’s. His accuser said that Loskarn would stand behind the altar boys during ceremonies and fondle himself under his robe, and that he would play “truth or dare” with the boys, daring them to expose their penises which he would then fondle. The alleged victim said he was later abused at the parish by Rev. Ross LaPorta, and that when he told a nun in 5th or 6th grade she slapped and beat him. Loskarn died in 2014. Included in the 4/5/2023 MD Attorney General’s Report.

Our Database of Publicly Accused does not state or imply that individuals facing allegations are guilty of a crime or liable for civil claims. The reports contained in the database are merely allegations. The U.S. legal system presumes that a person accused of or charged with a crime is innocent until proven guilty. Similarly, individuals who may be defendants in civil actions are presumed not to be liable for such claims unless a plaintiff proves otherwise. Admissions of guilt or liability are not typically a part of civil or private settlements. For more information, see our posting policy.
