Fr. William Earl Krouse
“Jay.” Pastor and teacher at MD School for the Deaf and St. Francis Catholic Deaf Center in Prince George Co., MD in the 1970s. Voluntarily left active ministry in about 1986. Arrested in FL 3/1996 after a former student accused him of abuse 1968-1972. He admitted the abuse and was jailed in FL while awaiting extradition. Sentenced 11/1996 to six 10-year prison terms for abusing six deaf boys 1970-1978. His victims were ages 10-14, three of them brothers. A woman reported in 2018 that Krouse abused her husband when he was a child at the Catholic Deaf Center in Landover in the 1970s. Included on the Archdiocese of Washington DC’s 10/15/2018 list of accused. Added to the Baltimore archdiocese’s list in 2/2019. Included in the 4/5/2023 MD Attorney General’s Report.
