Fr. Robert James Klem
Accused in a claim settled in 2020 in the low six figures of sexually abusing a boy, ages 14-16, in 1968-70, while assigned to the Aquinas Institute in Rochester. The abuse allegedly occurred at least three times, at Klem’s residence, at a house around Greece, NY and on a trip to Quebec, Canada. Klem was at the Institute 1958-84. Transferred to the Basilian Mission Center in Sugar Land, TX in the late 1980s. Retired in 2013, living at the Dillon House in Houston through at least 2019. He died in 1/21.
