Fr. Michael Robert Kelly
Named publicly as credibly accused by the Diocese on its list 9/27/2019. Left active ministry 12/1/1983. Laicized 2/9/1992. Included in the MI Attorney General’s 12/16/2024 Lansing diocese report. Per the report, in 8/1994 a woman reported to the Diocese that Kelly sexually abused her when she was 14 or 15 in 1978 and Kelly was assigned to St. Michael’s in Flint MI. Notes in Kelly’s personnel file indicate that he was “involved with a senior high school student” and that he had sex with a woman at the University of MI. The file also contains a letter in which Kelly admitted to fondling the girl.
