Fr. Micheal H. Kelley

Accused in 1989 of the sexual abuse of a youth who had just turned 18. Kelley had known the boy since he was a child. The youth reported it to the Archdiocese immediately; no action. He complained again in 2002; Kelley was sent to St. Luke’s in MD for treatment. Placed on leave 8/2002. The Archdiocese’s investigation did not clear Kelley who did admit to misconduct with adults. Included on the Archdiocese’s 10/12/2018 list. Noted to have two victims, who were allegedly abused in 1990 and 1992.

Our Database of Publicly Accused does not state or imply that individuals facing allegations are guilty of a crime or liable for civil claims. The reports contained in the database are merely allegations. The U.S. legal system presumes that a person accused of or charged with a crime is innocent until proven guilty. Similarly, individuals who may be defendants in civil actions are presumed not to be liable for such claims unless a plaintiff proves otherwise. Admissions of guilt or liability are not typically a part of civil or private settlements. For more information, see our posting policy.
