Fr. Tilak A. Jayawardene
Extern priest from Sri Lanka. Accused in a 6/2020 lawsuit of sexually abusing a minor 1983-1986 at Our Lady of Solace in the Bronx NY. Assigned in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles beginning in 1987. Indicted in 1/1991, charged with the sexual abuse in late 1990 of a teenage boy who worked at Incarnation Parish in Glendale. Fled to Sri Lanka before police could arrest him. Still a fugitive as of 2012. The Archdiocese of Los Angeles list in 12/2021 shows Jayawardene to be deceased.
