Fr. David Peter Jaeger
Former director of seminarians for archdiocese. Jaeger approved known abuser Paul Joseph Conn for duties as archdiocesan priest. As part of 1996 or 1997 lawsuit against Conn, Jaeger himself admitted to improperly touching 8-10 boys at a CYO camp in the 1970s. In 1988 the archdiocese settled with one victim. Restricted from working 1:1 with minors in 1989 and sent for treatment. Another claim settled 12/2004. Voluntarily laicized in 11/2005. Died 07/22/2014. Buried with full rites. On the archdiocese’s list 1/15/2016. Named in suit filed 5/17/2016. Settlement 3/23/2021 of claims of abuse in 1979 while in residence at Sacred Heart in Seattle.
