Fr. Raymond A. Hyland
In 6/16 a 78-year-old woman stated publicly that Hyland sexually abused her when she was ages 11 to 14 . The woman, who went on to become an Ursuline sister, said Hyland stepped in to help the family after one of her sisters was struck by a car and died. She said he would take her and two other sisters to plays, the circus, and such. She also said she told the archdiocese of the abuse in the mid-1980s, and the two priests who interviewed her asked her what she did “to activate his interest” in her. Hyland died 5/20/95. On archdiocese’s list 4/26/19.
