Fr. Paul William Hurley
Arrested and indicted in 2002. Accused of abuse of a 15-year-old boy in 1987-1988. Paid the boy $100 after each incident. Pleaded not guilty and denied the allegations. Convicted in 6/2006. Immediately began serving a 3-year provisional sentence. Sentenced in 7/2006 to 4 years in prison followed by 5 years probation. Involuntary laicization in 2006 announced in 1/2007. Released on probation. Living in Sandwich, MA as of 1/2010. On sex offender registry. Included on the archdiocese’s list of accused 8/25/2011. Died 1/11/2016.
