Fr. Edward G. Huff
In 1992 two families in two days complained to the Diocese that Huff had molested their sons. After treatment Huff was made a hospital chaplain in late 1992. Within two months several more families complained of abuse 1987-1991. He was sent back to treatment and resigned from the priesthood seven weeks later. Pleaded guilty in 1994 to charges of improperly touching and providing alcohol to several youths. Sentenced to 15 months to 5 years in prison as result of a plea bargain. Other charges dropped. Allegation in 5/2008 of molestation of an altar boy in the early 1980s. Also, files show that on 6/14/2015 Huff showed up at an altar server training at a New Castle parish and asked a teen boy if he wanted to go to a Pittsburgh Pirates game with him. Named in 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report. Included on the diocese’s list of credibly accused. Suit filed in 9/2018. Another filed in 11/2018.
