Fr. Thomas Barry Horne
Accused of abusing Kay Ebeling (of City of Angels blog) at age 5 in the early 1950s in Bartlett, IL. He had been transferred there by the Archbishop of Chicago. He is accused of raping her in a rectory while her mother practiced on the organ in the nearby church. A later article reported he also raped her sister. Kay and another woman filed suit against the Archdiocese 8/3/2011, alleging abuse when they were young children. Horne died in 1985. Included in 10/2022 on the Archdiocese’s list of accused; allegation substantiated after Horne’s death. Included in the 5/23/2023 IL Attorney General’s Report.
