Fr. Robert F. Hopkins
In 1995 two men alleged sexual abuse as boys by Hopkins in the 1970s. Sent to St. Luke Institute for treatment. At least eight other victims later came forward. Hopkins admitted to sexual misconduct with about 14 boys from the 1950s to the early 1980s at five different parishes. The abuse included rape. In 8/1995 a man alleged abuse by Hopkins in 1948 and gave the name of another victim. Faculties removed. Named on Baltimore’s 9/26/2002 list of abusive priests. Died in 12/2006. Included in the 4/5/2023 MD Attorney General’s Report.
