Fr. Louis Joseph Holtz
A man told the Diocese in 1995 that Holtz sexually abused him as a boy 1974-1975. Claims were settled in 1997 and Holtz agreed to be laicized. Accused in a lawsuit filed in 12/2002 of abusing a boy in 1970. One plaintiff alleging abuse by Holtz joined a 2003 class action suit against the Diocese, but later withdrew and settled. Laicization announced 8/12/2003. Died 10/27/2014. Included on the diocese’s list 7/31/2020 of those with substantiated allegation(s). (Brother of accused priest Raymond Holtz.)
