Fr. John E. Gillespie

Accused of abuse of five youths 1958-97. Archdiocese knew of his behavior as early as 1994. Placed on leave in 2002. Further restrictions added in 2004. Ministry permanently restricted. Living a supervised life when he died in 2008. Named in new Grand Jury Report 2/10/11. Civil suit filed in 3/11 alleged abuse of a boy, ages 14-17, during 1994-97 at Our Lady of Calvary in Philadelphia. Another suit filed 3/21/11. On secret 1994 list.
