Fr. James A. Ganahl

Name included on a list of accused priests with credible allegations from the San Diego/San Bernardino dioceses released by San Diego 3/30/2007. Retired in 1987. Privileges removed in 11/1998. Per personnel file released 10/25/2010, Ganahl was accused of sexually abusing four girls, who were sisters, between 1961 and 1963. They told San Bernardino in 1999 and reached a settlement. The San Diego diocese reported the abuse to police in 2002 but the family chose not to pursue criminal charges. Ganahl died 2/13/2010.
