Fr. Stephen R. Furtado
Pastor of Holy Ghost Parish when placed on leave in 4/2002 due to allegations dating back about 20 years. Furtado had worked as a hospital chaplain previously. His name appeared in 2002 on a list of 21 accused priests, which notes that there was one alleged victim but the D.A. had no jurisdiction. Furtado died in 2016. Included in 1/2021 on the Diocese’s list of credibly accused. Faculties removed.
