Fr. Dennis A. Fronczak
Fronczyk aka Franczak aka Fronczak. Reportedly kept in ministry in 2006 despite 8 known alleged incidents of sexually inappropriate behavior toward young girls. As pastor of Our Lady of Pompeii in Lancaster when placed on leave in 10/2015 for unspecified reasons. Denied misconduct. After publicity in 6/2018, a woman told the Buffalo News that Fronczak fondled her repeatedly when she was ages 9-12 in the 1990s, at St. Stephen’s on Grand Island. Also per news in 6/2018, a couple told the Diocese in 2003 that Fronczak showed inappropriate behavior toward their 3-year-old daughter. They said the Diocese said they would look into it, but heard nothing more. The Diocese said in 6/2018 that the allegations were substantiated. Fronczak was to remain on leave pending the Vatican’s decision. Accused in a lawsuit in 8/2019 of abuse of a child, age 10-11, in 1986-1988 while assigned to a Lockport parish. Removed from diocesan payroll 5/1/2020 as part of a bankruptcy agreement. Added to the Diocese’s list of credibly accused.
